Do you ever feel unnoticed, like you don’t matter? Do you wonder how many people would notice if you just . . . stopped showing up?
Pretty dramatic questions for a Monday.
A number of years ago, I had been attending a ladies Bible Study. I attended EVERY Thursday faithfully, & didn’t miss.
One Thursday, I couldn’t make it. And over the next few days, I got really hurt <ahem — bitter> that out of our group of 20+ women, not one had reached out to check in on me, to let me know they missed me, and to be sure I was okay. (Cue Pity Party) ![]()

And 𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙉.
I was struck by the proverbial mirror. Oh. Had *I* ever reached out when I noticed someone hadn’t made a meeting, or a gathering? Nope. Sure didn’t. Did it mean I didn’t care or didn’t notice? Not at all. It just didn’t occur to me, I guess. Complacency. Busy-ness. Being too ME-focussed.

So, as small a gesture as it may be, I started to reach out when I noticed people in my circle were missing from a gathering. Because it’s nice to know you’re missed, and that your presence matters to people.
Pause as I patted myself on the back. ![]()
Fast forward to a few years back, and being frustrated with growing my business. “𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘴!” I thought to myself in frustration.
Ope. There it is again — That Mirror of conviction. Am 𝙄 doing that for others? ![]()

That’s when I started my “𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧” series (pre-pandemic). That came to a halt around July of 2019, for no apparent reason. (woops) ![]()
It’s time to start it up again, and I’m stating that here for accountability.

The point, I guess, is to (get over yourself) & be the change you’d like to see in the world. ![]()
