What ARE Essential Oils?
Essential oils are natural, proven, and quite simply, THEY WORK! They are the life blood of the plant –they protect and support our bodies similarly to how they support & protect their plant of origin from outside influences. Why should you choose Young Living? Aren’t all oils the same? I like to say essential oils are like men, wine, and toilet paper: Quality matters!
Did you know a company can put anything in a bottle, add fragrance, carrier oils, or fillers, and call it a pure essential oil, as long as at least 5% of what’s in the bottle is an essential oil?!? The FDA considers Essential Oils to be cosmetics, & thus regulates them differently than food or pharmaceuticals.
Did you know the specific temperature, pounds of pressure, distillation time, and even distillation chamber shape ALL affect the therapeutic properties (or lack thereof) of an essential oil?
When I say these oils have changed my life, I’m not exaggerating. They really have, as crazy as that might sound. Now, my older kids know which oils they need for various issues & use them independently. And it all started when that Premium Starter Kit showed up on my doorstep.
I didn’t know what I didn’t know. Then, I started connecting some health issues to the products we were using in our home, and I became curious. I started researching. I was looking for natural ways to support my family’s health and wellness and most of all, my emotions — I was a mess!
