Today, I learned about 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻 — the Jesus protein. (Not scientifically, but read on to decide for yourself if it deserves that title)

🤓If you’re a Molecular Biologist, you’re already familiar with Laminin.

For the rest of us, Laminins are a family of proteins that easily bind to each other and to other proteins. This makes laminin a critical means of holding tissues & organs together. It has been described as the protein equivalent of glue.

The laminin family are an integral part of the structural scaffolding in almost every tissue of an organism. Laminin is vital for the maintenance and survival of tissues.

🥱 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐞𝐭? 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞.
📖 Psalm 139 tells us God knit us together in our mother’s wombs.

→ To be viable, Pregnancy depends on the implantation process, trophoblast cells invasion, as well as placental and embryo development. For that reason, the uterus undergoes major morphological changes during pregnancy and 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬)

God created us in His image … look at the shape of the Laminin. 😯

📖 Psalm 27:14 says, “Be of good courage, He will 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭.”
What’s the role of laminin in heart function? Laminin function is required for the proper morphogenesis of the heart. (See 1st comment for Super Science-y References)
📖 Jer. 30:17 promises, “For I will restore health to you, and 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬.”

→ Laminin-peptide conjugated scaffolds have been 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬.

📖 Ezekiel 37 says, “I will make 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡 enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’ ”
→ Laminins are a part of 𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. Analysis of the developing lung has shown the expression of some laminin chains as early as 10 weeks of human gestation. (God knitting us together)

📖Romans 8:39 promises, “Nothing in all creation will separate us from the love of God.”
→ Laminin (in very very basic terms) acts like glue — it holds us together (The laminin protein shape reminds me of 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 . . . )
I could go on & on.

God is a God of details. Pretty cool — albeit nerdy — details. 🤓
